Di Procter

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Di is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast for over 40 years. She has a warm and engaging manner and her approach to therapy ensures people feel welcomed, understood and supported throughout our time together.

Sometimes, we find ourselves facing challenges that are bigger than we are able to understand or navigate on our own. At any stage after a cancer diagnosis, you may experience times of distress and feel a range of strong emotions, such as disbelief, fear, anxiety, anger, and sadness. You may also experience loss, such as the loss of good health, temporary or permanent changes to your appearance, not being able to work or do your normal activities, changed finances, a loss of independence or a change in your relationships. The therapeutic process can help you to make sense of, adapt to, and heal from difficult life experiences and I am trained in, and draw upon, a range of evidence-based therapies to better meet your needs.

A referral is not essential for you to receive Di’s services, however if you speak to your GP about your concerns, you may be eligible to attend under a Mental Health Care Plan. This will allow you to receive a Medicare rebate for a portion of your therapy costs.

My formal qualifications and memberships include:
• Bachelor of Social Work
• Masters of Mental Health Practice
• Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW)
• Member of EMDRAA

Session Cost: $120.00 (Medicare rebate $81.90)
Concession Rate: $100.00 (Medicare rebate $81.90)

Mind-Body

Lisa Welch

Body-Mind Practitioner

Lisa is a soma-psych & meditation practitioner who has been working specifically with people for the past 15 years to establish a sense of ease & comfort within themselves and their environment.

If you experience stress, trauma, anxiety, or panic attacks that drive your physical body into unpleasant and uncomfortable sensations (such as heart palpitations, rapid shallow breathing, sweating, shaking and tension to name a few), you might have noticed that this reactivity loop plays out in your body before your conscious mind has caught on. Lisa rehabilitates bodies caught in this loop of strong, immediate reactivity though somatic awareness, nervous system regulation and breath training, and re-establishes a natural sense of stability and ease within through meditation & self-enquiry to return to a natural state of day-to-day relaxation.

Sessions with Lisa include access to the Body-Mind Home Program (via the convenience of an app on your phone) that delivers specific recorded practices relative to your individual appointment, and supports you to make progressive daily change.

Fees:
1 hour Appointment Cost

Joanne Baldwin

Acupuncturist (Chinese Medicine Practitioner)

I’ve had the privilege of working at Bloomhill Wellness Centre for over a year, and I’m surrounded by the most amazing people in the most beautiful setting.

I’m a classically trained Acupuncturist and have studied both Japanese Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Among my degrees I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and have many years experience.

Some of my adventures in acupuncture include a semester at Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University in 2009, where I completed internships in three of China’s public hospitals across all departments. In 2016 I also spent 6 months living in Mumbai. Part of my weekly routine involved volunteering at the Barefoot Acupuncture Clinic in Dharavi, which is India’s largest slum area. I have been to India many times over the years, always staying with the same family, but that experience really touched my heart.

The style of Acupuncture I practice is gentle and painless. My intention is to assist clients on their path to health and well-being using a holistic approach to support the body’s innate healing abilities physically, mentally, and emotionally.

If you are interested in acupuncture and how it can assist you on your path, then I would love to have a chat with you, and please - call me Jo.
