Mindfulness Meditation Program with Dr Peter Davies

What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is simply to be fully aware of, and to accept the present moment as it is without judgement. We do this by paying attention to, or being mindful of, whatever is going on right now at this moment either within us or around us. Kindness and Compassion towards oneself and our experience underly the practice of Mindfulness.

What are the benefits of Mindfulness? Decreased Stress, Worry and Depression. A decrease in Rumination. Increased satisfaction in relationships, better focus and increased memory. Increased Inner Joy and contentment. A sense of calm and peace can support you in the turbulence of the Cancer diagnosis. We see our situations and our experience more clearly. (awareness). We recognize our Automatic and Habitual Reactions without getting attached or aversive towards them. We develop and increased ability to see the options/ideas available
to us. We respond more effectively to complex or difficult situations. There develops an increased sense of wellbeing, increased resilience, and an improved ability to handle stress. One develops increased compassion for oneself and others.
